Terms, renewal & refunds
What Kept is — and isn't
Kept is a tax modelling and guidance tool. It shows you estimates built from published UK tax rules (2026/27) and openly stated assumptions. It is not regulated financial advice, not tax advice tailored to your full circumstances, and not a substitute for an accountant or an FCA-authorised adviser. All recommendations are illustrative. Confirm any decision with a professional before acting.
Price and renewal — no surprises
The dashboard costs £49 per year, charged when you subscribe and then automatically on each anniversary. We email a receipt on every charge and a reminder before renewal. You can cancel auto-renewal in one click via “Manage billing” in the dashboard — you keep access until the end of the period you’ve paid for. Prices include VAT where applicable.
14-day cooling-off and refunds
Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations you have a 14-day right to cancel a digital purchase. We honour it without the usual carve-outs: cancel within 14 days of first subscribing and we refund the full £49, no questions asked — use “Manage billing” or email hello@kept.tax. After 14 days, cancellation stops the next renewal rather than refunding the current year.
Failed payments
If a renewal payment fails, Stripe retries it; your access continues during a short grace period. If it can’t be collected, your subscription lapses and the dashboard locks — your data stays intact and access resumes if you update your card.
Accuracy
We work hard to keep rates and rules current (the tax year and every assumption we make are published here), and our engine is covered by hand-verified tests. But tax depends on individual circumstances and legislation changes; we can’t accept liability for decisions taken on estimates alone.
